Want To Get Into Britney Spears' Jeans? Here's How!

Senior Digital Editor

Cotton Incorporated's Blue Jeans Go Green denim recycling program, which converts old pairs of jeans into UltraTouch Denim Insulation for homes and public building in communities in need, has recycled nearly one million pieces of denim thus far—and to help reach that milestone, it's called in the A-listers. Thirteen celebrities, including Hayden Panettiere, Ryan Phillippe, Heidi Klum and Britney Spears, have each signed and donated their own worn-and-loved jeans—and from now until November 3, you can bid on your favorite star's pair. But there's a catch: you can't bid in dollars. Nope, these auctions run strictly on "denim currency"—meaning that whoever is able to collect and submit the most blues for future recycling wins. We couldn't think of a better reason to clean out our closets and partake in a local denim drive of our own!

Oh, and if you're questioning the functionality of denim as an insulator, consider this: UltraTouch inhibits mildew and mold growth, is free of chemical irritants and provides 30 percent better sound absorption than fiberglass. Crazy, right?

Click through to check out some of the celebrity blues up for grabs and to see which have earned the highest bids thus far (spoiler alert: Darren Criss is leading by a landslide—yep, over Britney!).
