You know how some people keep lists of cool new restaurants they want to try? I feel like our editor-in-chief, Eva Chen, does that with fashion trends. She's way less of a uniform dresser than a try-anything type—Birkenstocks, nail art, neon sweatshirts, whatever—and a giddy one at that. But when I ask her which fall trend she's most excited about, she doesn't miss a beat zeroing in on just one: "Circle skirts! Definitely circle skirts," she says.

It's not the most outrageous concept, of course, and anyone with a soft spot for ladylike pieces is probably already on board. Those calf-grazing, twirlably full skirts are best known for anchoring Gwyneth Paltrow in Talented Mr. Ripley-esque outfits, after all. But what Eva loves most about their recent resurgence is the idea of wearing them a zillion different ways, as part of non-girly looks, too.

"At the risk of sounding like Sam-I-Am," Eva says, "I want to wear my circle skirts with pointy-toed pumps. I want to wear them with sneakers. I want to wear them with leather jackets. I want to wear them with sweatshirts. I want to wear them with everything."

After seeing how many ways Eva and some of our favorite street style stars styled their circle skirts during fashion week, we more than get it. The circle skirt's a statement skirt, for sure—but the best part, perhaps, is that the statement it makes is up to you. Above, 10 of our favorite options to help you cobble together a cool circle skirt outfit, whether it's a demure, eclectic or full-on ladylike look.
