NYFW Spring 2014: Five New Designers to Watch

Before she even graduated from Parsons, Partow cut her teeth working at Donna Karan. She later held positions at both Calvin Klein and John Varvatos, which perhaps explains her predilection for masculine-influenced, super-streamlined designs. We can't wait to see what Partow (who, by the way, also happens to be a competitive boxer—she took home the New York Daily News Golden Gloves championship in 2007!) has in store for her NYFW debut.

In between the handful of first-name-only designers who will be showing their spring collections at NYFW this season—Marc, Ralph, Tommy and so forth—the days of shows ahead are also a prime time to scout out fresh new fashion talent. This week, we'll have the five emerging designers above on our radar. Some of them are making their NYFW debuts; others have showed for a couple of seasons, but have been building steady buzz ever since.
