Reverse Layer
The Fall 2013 shows had many a model doing a reverse layer. The trick is to pile a fairly heavy, short jacket on top of a sturdier (but lighter) under-layer. Click through to shop the look.

Cocoon
A cocoon coat creates a graceful and curvy silhouette, in contrast to the more commonly seen flared or straight and narrow ones. Click through to shop the look.

Belle du Demain
Think of this as an update to the classic "belle du jour" style. Offset a slim, ladylike lower half with something a little more dramatic above the waist. Try a massive scarf (think Marc Jacobs Fall 2012) or a swing jacket or cape to change your profile. Click through to shop the look.

Slouched Skirt
I've actually seen a lot of girls on the streets doing this lately. A massive sweatshirt, paired with a skirt that peeks out from the hem. It sounds strange, and definitely looks a little different, but that's not a bad thing. Click through to shop the look.

Winter Crop Top
At the Lucky FABB conference, Emily Weiss of Into The Gloss came in wearing a cropped cable knit sweater with skinny black jeans and a grey layer underneath. It looked awesome. A perfect relaxed and comfortable look to head into the colder months. The same can be done with any old sweatshirt, just cut on the dotted line. Click through to shop the look.
