The Workout Playlist To End All Workout Playlists

On October 20, I was part of arguably the most glamorous running event ever: the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco (I only ran a half, which is still a victory). It was the race's 10th anniversary (so festive!) and all the more exciting because I ran alongside Shea Mitchell, Jamie Chung, Lily Kwong, and Tamu McPherson—not to mention roughly 30,000 other babes. In the days leading up to the big race, I got to catch up with my buds Lily and Tamu, and pick Shea and Jamie's brains for their pump-up songs. Lily went old school with "Eye Of The Tiger," Canadian artist Melanie Fiona chose Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough," Shay can't get enough of Calvin Harris' "Feel So Close" and Jamie relies on Drake's megahit "Started From The Bottom" when the going gets tough. Pro surfer (and first-time half-marathoner and mega-hottie) Lakey Peterson jams to "Not Afraid" by Eminem, while Tamu's go-to is Empire Of The Sun's "Alive."

So for all you avid runners out there, here's our ultimate pump-up mix—courtesy of some of the coolest girls around. And in case you're wondering, pretty much all of us ran in Nike's LunarGlide +5 sneakers, which aside from being crazy-comfortable and springy come in a whole bunch of fun and pretty colors.
