Corset-wearing might be a lost art (unless you’re Dita Von Teese)—but in 2013, corseted stilettos were the biggest thing in footwear. Carine Roitfeld almost single-handedly launched the trend by sporting Alaïa’s lace-ups throughout fashion month; street style stars like Taylor Tomasi Hill, Leandra Medine and more followed suit. With Christmas over, we've officially reached the homestretch of 2013—and what a stylish year it's been. Over the past 12 months, a number of notable trends emerged during both on the runways at the fall and spring fashion months, on red carpets across the globe and, of course, on the streets.
