Meet The CFDA's New Class Of Rising Fashion Stars
We're no strangers to tracking up-and-coming stars' career paths, observing as they gain more and more attention until, suddenly, they're household names. Just recently, we've obsessively followed models, actresses and musicians, and it's the Council of Fashion Designers of America's job to do the same with designers.
As Style.com reports, today the CFDA has announced its new Incubator class for 2014-2016, a highly competitive training program in which 10 budding companies receive studio space, in addition to mentoring from industry professionals; previous designers include Timo Weiland, Reece Hudson and Jonathan Simkhai. As for the roll call, here are the 10 designers who made the roster this time around: A Peace Treaty's Dana Arbib, Farah Malik, and Jesse Meighan; Sara Beltrán of Dezso by Sara Beltrán; Isa Tapia; Kaelen's Kaelen Haworth; Kara's Sarah Law; Katie Ermilio; Lucio Castro; Nomia's Yara Flinn; Nonoo's Misha Nonoo; and Orley's Matthew Orley, Alex Orley, and Samantha Florence.
Prior to today's reveal, Style.com both photographed and interviewed the designers behind all 10 lines, which we've compiled for you here—including pieces of their work for you to see and shop now. Click through to check it out!
