Two of Hollywood's Best Dressed Women Skipped The Golden Globes Red Carpet Entirely!

I have to admit, impressive as tonight's Golden Globes red carpet was, I was pretty bummed that two of my absolute favorite Hollywood players—Gwyneth Paltrow and Emma Stone—didn't make an appearance during the ceremony's pre-show. Both of these ladies perpetually wow me every time they step out in public, choosing designer looks that always push the proverbial envelope. But by the time 8 pm rolled around and I switched channels from E! to NBC, I'd made my peace with the fact that neither star would likely show up at this year's Globes.
Alas, I was wrong! Shortly after the Best Original Song category was announced, the camera cut to Coldplay's Chris Martin (nominated for "Atlas" from the Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack)—and seated beside him, of course, was proud wife Gwynnie. I immediately snapped an iPhone pic of the actress, looking resplendent in what appeared to be a lacy, long-sleeved pale blue and gold dress—but unfortunately couldn't take a full-length, since she remained seated throughout the awards show. Sneaky Gwyneth!
Later in the evening, Mysteriously Missing Style Star #2, Emma Stone, also made an appearance—and one that was professionally photographed, thank goodness. To present Woody Allen with the Cecil B. DeMille Award, Emma hit the stage in a sparkling pearl-embellished top and coordinating grey slit-front skirt, both from Chanel. Talk about arriving fashionably late!
