"I love our creative director Katia's style. Whereas my look tends to be more schoolgirly, Katia always looks like the perfect tomboy! Recently she has been rhapsodizing about the Dior tribal earring—which I now call the "Hermione Granger earring" since Emma Watson wore it to the Golden Globes with that amazing Dior look—so for Christmas, since it's only really cool to wear one earring at a time, I bought a set and made them into friendship earrings! I gave one to her, since she wanted one, and kept one for myself. I'm hoping this takes off as a trend: the new friendship bracelet is the Dior tribal earring!" - Eva Chen, editor-in-chief
"Being from Texas, it took me a while to figure out how to dress for a real winter. Like, gloves? Are they really necessary? Can't I just, like, put my hands in my pockets? NOPE! Real winter boots was another thing I thought I could get by without, and I did for a long time, but then I realized how badly I was suffering. In desperation, I bought a pair of snow boots online that were just absolutely hideous. I realized it even before purchasing them, but I thought perhaps there wasn't actually a way to look cute in boots made for real winter conditions. So the idea was that I would wear them to get to the office, race in and quickly change into better shoes. Unfortunately, our accessories editor Julia Kalachnikoff, who has a great sense of humor and talent for calling you out on fashion goof-ups, caught me and was like, 'Um, what are those boots?' I stammered off a frustrated explanation about how it was snowing outside and all, and I was tired of slipping and sliding around and having wet toes after being outside. She listened, expressionless, and then responded, 'Why don't you just get some duck boots?' I pretended like I knew exactly what she was talking about and went and bought some immediately. Now I don't know how I ever managed without them." - Alexis Bryan Morgan, executive fashion director
"About two weeks ago, the amazing Caryn Prime came over to my office and she was wearing these amazing faux pony hair pumps. Caryn and I have a similar style, so when I saw the way she was wearing these fun, kind of sexy heels, it made me think I could possibly pull it off too. Turns out they were actually originally purchased by our senior fashion writer Jayna Maleri, and Jayna passed them on to Caryn. If I end up going for them, I'd try pairing them with a neutral palette of navy, gray, black and brown." - Leigh Belz Ray, deputy editor
"I'm basically a style vacuum, sucking up weird little pieces here and there from everyone in the office. A small sampling includes a fur pompom keychain and a Playboy T-shirt (thanks, Eva!), a blue lipstick (gracias, Jean Godfrey-June!) and the perfect pair of foul-weather boots from L.L.Bean (merci, Jenna!!). See? Weird!" - Jayna Maleri, senior fashion writer
"Ever since I graduated from high school, I've never been all that into wearing lots of jewelry. Simple pearl studs, perhaps a single brass bangle, and that's about the most you'll ever see on me. But last summer, when I started noticing our EIC Eva's enviable collection of tiny, delicate gold rings—both around the office and in her much-liked manicure Instagrams—I knew it was the sort of barely-there adornment I could get on board with. After starting small with a couple of Brooklyn boutique/Lucky office obsession Catbird's teensy signature threadbare rings, I kept on going—and am now the proud owner of at least seven or eight dainty little rings. My fingers are far happier for it—my wallet, not so much." - Elana Fishman, senior digital editor
"Melissa Lum turned me on to the most amazingly comfortable, go-with-everything, perfect-heel-height black ankle boots: Steve Madden Paradoxx. And now I pretty much wear them...every day." - Maura Lynch, senior beauty editor
"Within five minutes of reading [senior fashion writer] Jenna's story on the awesomeness of Marais' Beatle boots, I emailed my husband the e-commerce link with the subject line 'buy me these for Christmas!!' Yes, I know it kind of ruined the surprise of gift-giving and all, but what a worthy sacrifice—I've worn my new pair almost every day since December 25. It hasn't even been a month and I already need to get them resoled!" - Alison Syrett Cleary, associate digital editor
"I love how [executive digital editor] Verena stacks loads of gold bracelets. Although I want to copy her exactly, I never seem to get the proportions right on my own; so for now, I will settle for adding an antique gold watch to my wrist." - Laura Morgan, special projects director
"I'd been eyeing these pony hair Rag & Bone Newbury boots for a while, and then I spotted them on our super-chic Lucky Breaks Editor Jane Sung—she makes everything look cute—and ran to my computer to buy them. And that was before they were on sale—they're less than half their retail price now!" - Liz Kiernan, special sections director
"There's a deli next door to my apartment and every day, rain or shine, a guy sells hats and shirts on a table at the storefront. I pass him when I go in or out of my apartment, and had been eyeing up this amazingly bright royal blue hat for quite some time. Eva has this blue leather snapback she bought at a diner in Arizona, so I was inspired by that purchase and decided to go forth in buying my own version of Eva's #ArizonaDinerHat. #NextDoorDeliHat? Biggest pro: it was only four bucks! Biggest (not really) con: it's not taggable on Instagram, but if Eva posts her #ArizonaDinerHat all the time, I suppose I can post my #NextDoorDeliHat with pride." - Kristie Dash, assistant to the editor-in-chief
"My co-senior fashion writer and work neighbor Jayna Maleri constantly inspires me to buy things (Baggu pouches, a French press and Uniqlo cotton turtlenecks are just a few of her staples that have rubbed off on me). But by far my favorite Jayna-influenced purchase has to be my Brooklyn We Go Hard sweatshirt. From the second I saw Jayna in hers, I knew I had to have one. I wear it regularly. Miraculously, we've never shown up to the office as BWGH twins." - Jenna Gottlieb, senior fashion writer
"Over the summer I decided that I needed to be a little fancier. My solution? Single-soled black suede pumps. Inspired by our fabulous leader Eva Chen and her perfect pumps (she wears Gianvito Rossi, I believe), I popped into a J.Crew after work one day and purchased these perfect black pumps—now a staple in my closet!" - Stephanie Kornblum, public relations coordinator
