WATCH: Your First Look at Victoria Beckham's Revealing New Video Project
Before Victoria Beckham became one of London's most revered authorities on fashion (and before her name itself became synonymous with her eponymously named fashion house), she was simply a former Spice Girl-turned model-turned new "mum." But in 2007, things changed with the launch of high end DVB Denim line in New York. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Five Years: The Victoria Beckham Fashion Story is a brand new, forthcoming "documentary" chronicling the five most influential years that shaped Victoria's fashion brand and business into the mega-sucess they have become. It's a unique kind of documentary, though, showcased through a brand new type of Skype-created medium: think more of an "interactive editorial," less Ken Burns. This story, which includes behind-the-scenes footage of Victoria prepping for her Fall 2013 show at New York Fashion Week, will live exclusively on the Skype Collaboration Project website and will launch on Thursday, January 30.
"I've always loved fashion and I was that kid who used to watch my mum get ready and think, "Wow you look amazing,"' Victoria discusses in the feature. "I always dreamed of designing a collection; it was always my passion. I was a Spice Girl married to a footballer. I was trying to do something that no one had really done before."
There's no doubt that Posh has come a long way from her "Little Gucci dress or little Gucci dress?" days. You can watch the new, minute-long trailer for Five Years right now, below, and tune into Collaboration.Skype.com on Thursday to see the full, finished product.
