With the Oscars a mere five days away, Hollywood's legion of designers, stylists and celebrities are immersed in last-minute preparations for the most important red carpet event of the season. And although nobody's leaving a single detail to chance right now, there are some things that just can't be planned for—like having your priceless, one-off creations go missing.

A serious nightmare, right? Donna Karan can now cross that one off her bucket list. Yesterday, the New York-based designer sent a number of dresses with her senior PR pro, Aliza Licht (aka DKNY PR Girl) to Los Angeles—but once she arrived at LAX, the gowns were MIA.

Naturally, the ordeal unfolded on Aliza's Twitter account (followed by more than 487,000 people), first with this understandably frantic message: "I am trying to remain calm, but the plane just landed in LA and our #Oscars gowns are NOT on it." Several panic-stricken tweets later, we received some euphoric news: "Breaking News! #DonnaKaranAtelier #Oscars dresses found in cargo area. My mistake, I should have shipped the person in them."

As for who will be wearing Donna Karan on Sunday night, we're not quite sure—though we speculate it will include several of her red carpet regulars, including Naomie Harris, Penelope Cruz and Katie Holmes.
