If you've got an LBD at home, than you've got a Valentine's Day outfit. Click through for more on this look—and four additional ideas!
1. The LBD-Based Outfit
Amidst a wardrobe crisis, always remember this style rule that Audrey Hepburn, Coco Chanel and millions of other stylish women have followed for decades: little black dresses look amazing on any occasion. Since the piece is like a blank canvas—you can wear it with anything—have fun with your accessories! Arrow-shaped earrings? Ankle strap pumps? Scribble print clutches? Yes, yes and yes!
2. The Red Accent Outfit
Technically you're just wearing all black and white, but it looks all Valentine-y thanks to the sneaky addition of red accessories. There are only two rules for getting this right: 1. Make sure all your crimson items are the same shade; a mix of orange- and purple-red will look sloppy. 2. Avoid overkill. Two pieces and matching lipstick should do the trick.
3. The Girlfriend Sweater Outfit
To really pull off the whole sexy-sweet girl-next-door thing, your pullover should have a slightly wider neckline that shows a little bit of bra strap. So be sure to wear undergarments that are pretty! No putty-colored spandex styles!
4. The Statement Skirt Outfit
So long as you've got an bold, eye-catching skirt—whether it's bright, embellished, printed or all three—to start, this look requires minimal effort. Just add a neutral-hued top (when in doubt, black works 99 percent of the time), matching shoes and you're good to go!
5. The Canadian Tuxedo Outfit
To keep your jean outfit (aka your "joutfit") from feeling too Sunday brunch-casual, dress it up with festive jewelry and shoes and finish the look with a statement coat. If  you're still unsure, try to picture how the Man Repeller would style denim-on-denim and go with that.
