Not that we can talk expertly on this topic, but we imagine that being the spawn of a Real Housewife could, plausibly, open up a few doors. For starters, you may be able to get a reservation without having to endure a colossal wait time, or you could get paid to host things—kind of like being a Kardashian, right? But very few daughters of The Real Housewives series could so seamlessly land both a CR Fashion Book cover and a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue spread as 18-year-old Gigi Hadid.

Gigi, whose mother happens to be Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, made her New York Fashion Week debut this season in the Desigual and Jeremy Scott shows, the latter of which she both opened and closed. By the end of NYFW, we overheard many a murmured question as to who that unknown, Brigitte Bardot-like supermodel-in-the-making was.

As Gigi told Vanity Fair last week, the California native began her career as a Baby Guess model at just two years old—a gig which then progressed into a Guess Kids contract, but ended in her teen days so that she "have a normal childhood and go to high school." When she turned 17, her mom let her return to modeling, and she signed with IMG. The rest, as they say, is history.

Now with three "adult" Guess campaigns under her belt, Gigi is ready to conquer the big leagues. With an impressive roster of fashion heavy-hitters—ranging from Jeremy Scott to Carine Roitfeld—already on her side, we have a feeling the six-odd months preceding NYFW's Spring 2015 shows will be busy ones for her. Plus, it's worth mentioning her superstar boyfriend of six months—Australian singer-songwriter Cody Simpson—is a total cutie. That can't hurt.
