WATCH: Tabitha Simmons Goes Rock 'N' Roll For Her Spring 2014 Campaign
Over the last few years, New York-based shoe designer Tabitha Simmons has earned herself a solid place amongst the footwear elite thanks to her ladylike-meets-edgy designs. No one pair of her heels, boots, sandals or flats are alike—a trait she has carried over into designer collaborations with high-profile brands like TOMS and J. Crew.
Of course, the only fitting way for this crazy-cool designer to showcase her equally crazy-cool designs is with a—yep, you guessed it—crazy-cool video. To show off her Spring 2014 line, Tabitha joined forces with Craig McDean, The Box Studio's Pascal Dangin and drummer Meytal Cohen for a rock 'n' roll clip that showcases four of her key styles.
"For my spring collection, I was playing with the idea of mixing feminine details with a rock and roll edge; the concept for the video came to life from there," said Tabitha. "We decided to feature a strong female drummer rocking out and using the foot pedals to showcase the shoes. The video was shot in black and white and I selected the key styles that are offered in these colors to convey the feeling of the collection."
