Beyoncé Covers Time Magazine's Annual '100 Most Influential People' Issue

"Beyoncé doesn't just sit at the table. She builds a better one," begins Sheryl Sandberg's profile of the musical empress within Time Magazine's annual "100 Most Influential People in the World" issue. It is, of course, a perfectly accurate sentiment, and one particularly fitting when penned by the COO of Facebook and founder of LeanIn.org. Beyoncé, like Sandberg herself, has trained her so-called "Beyhive" to prioritize humility, never fear impossibly hard work—and, of course, to look (and feel) utterly fabulous while doing it all. Beyoncé may sell issues of magazines, but this is a coveted cover spot that's undoubtedly, justified.

Reportedly in the running for the cover spread were fellow female affluentials Hillary Clinton, Serena Williams, Janet Yellen and Miley Cyrus, in addition to the likes of Pope Francis, Seth Meyers, Vladimir Putin, Pharrell Williams and President Obama. The issue also touts three additional inside covers, featuring Robert Redford, the NBA's first openly gay athlete Jason Collins and General Motors CEO Mary Barra.

Sandberg concludes her profile by asking Beyoncé a tricky question: What would you do if you weren't afraid? The superstar's answer: "Watch me. I'm about to do it. You can, too."
