Does Jennifer Connelly even, like, know how lucky she is? Granted, the 43-year-old actress is at least partially responsible for pushing Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière into the Hollywood spotlight—but that doesn't make us any less envious of her.

Jennifer—who wore a putty-colored Balenciaga gown to the 2002 Oscars when she won for A Beautiful Mind—stepped out in Nicolas' first custom Vuitton gown at Noah's New York City premiere last week. Jennifer's dress for the film's Paris premiere on Tuesday was, similarly, a custom creation, this time featuring a sequined collared top and a black skirt with patent leather embellishments. While equal parts flashy and conservative, we'd say Nicolas captured that certain Parisian allure quite well, don't you think?

Emma Watson, however, was notably absent from the Paris premiere. Was she just afraid that whatever glorious gown she had on the docket couldn't compete with Jen's custom number? We'll never know, sadly.
