It's a tragedy to me that, in some circles, Emily Blunt remains best known for her catty, waify performance as Miranda Priestly's assistant in The Devil Wears Prada. To give credit where credit is due, she's shmoozed with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis in the futuristic thriller Looper, and made audiences guffaw with Jason Segel in The Five-Year Engagement. Plus, John Krasinski loves her—and they have a brand new baby girl (named Hazel) together! It's a charmed life.

Now that Blunt's out promoting her new action movie, Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise, she's also getting a chance to promote her impeccable red carpet style. In New York on Wednesday night, Blunt opted for a divinely fitted, slightly siren-y Prada gown.

But here's the kicker: the dress' vampy air was sweetened up with a perfectly clashing powder pink and coordinating clutch. While these shades of red and pink are somewhat unexpected, Blunt proved this type of irregularity can keep any style looking fresh, modern and youthful. Dare I say it? Miranda Priestly would be proud.
