WATCH: Tina Fey Has Crowned The Future Queen Of Late Night Television
Whereas women like Anna Wintour and Diane von Furstenberg exist to shape the future comings and goings of fashion, Tina Fey is one heck of a reputable source when it comes to comedy. So we were all ears when Fey appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers yesterday to make an oracle-like prediction for late night television.
"The late night wars are my Super Bowl," said Fey. "It's like fantasy football for me."
While Meyers and Jimmy Fallon are still in the honeymoon phases of their respective gigs, the moves keep on coming, with Stephen Colbert set to replace David Letterman in 2015. But where are all the women, we (and the rest of America) ask? Fey has a theory, and it's entirely based on fashion.
"A lot of times, these hosts get their jobs when they're like, 35 or 40, and they keep them until they're 65, so I was like, 'If you're a lady, what do you wear?' Right?" Fey explained to Meyers. "Because if you go in with a cocktail dress, and then you're 45, you're 50, then there's going to come a day where you go, 'I don't got it. Bring me the jacket.' That's why I think Ellen is going to be the first person to break through. Because she's already wearing jackets."

And then, here's a photo of two totally normal, not at all weird best friends from Late Night's Instagram, posted yesterday. Needs absolutely no explanation.
