SNL, Saks Fifth Avenue And Rag & Bone Are Teaming Up For A Very Special Project

In the 15 years that Saks Fifth Avenue has been spearheading its Key to the Cure campaign, not once have they joined forces with fellow New York City institution, Saturday Night Live. Despite being literal New York City neighbors (they're just a few blocks away from each other on Fifth Avenue), 2014 will serve as the first year the two organizations are teaming up for the very special cause, benefitting local women's cancer charities.

In order to promote Saks' KTTC, past and present SNL cast members Will Ferrell, Ana Gasteyer, Vanessa Bayer, Cecily Strong and Colin Jost were photographed wearing limited-edition t-shirts designed by Rag & Bone. What's better: all the proceeds from the $35 KTTC tee, debuting online and in stores on Oct. 1, will benefit the Women's Cancer Research Fund; since KTTC's institution in 1999, more than $35 million has been donated to cancer research.

"Laughter is the best medicine—and I'm a cancer survivor myself," Saks' senior vice president of marketing and public relations Kathleen Ruiz told Women's Wear Daily. "When you go through something like that, you really don't want to think about that. You want to go through what you have to do to get well, but you want to be able to be courageous and laugh. I think it's terrific that they're taking something serious and saying, 'We believe there is a cure for this.'"

Needless to say, the tees, shown below, will be $35 well spent.
