Cara Delevingne: Now A Movie-Musical Star
It might be time to officially add a hyphen to Cara Delevingne’s career now, people: her film repertoire just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Fresh off the sets of Joe Wright’s Pan and Harvey Weinstein’s Tulip Fever, the 22-year-old multi-hyphenated enigma is reportedly in talks to star in a new, Beach Boys-themed movie musical, All Summer Long.
The film, (obviously) set in 1960s California, will be produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, the team behind Hairspray and Chicago’s recent reboots. According to Deadline, Delevingne would be acting/crooning opposite John Stamos, who has allegedly signed on for the part of the male lead.
To answer your question: yes, Delevingne can sing. To wit, this 2013 video of her covering Sonnentanz’s “Sun Don’t Shine” has more than 4 million views on YouTube.
Could this be Delevingne’s big, Amanda Seyfried in Mamma Mia-esque break? As if she could get any more ubiquitous, we’re thinking, yeah, probably.
