Jay Z And Beyoncé’s On The Run Tour Is Making A Lot Of Money

Don't act like you're surprised—Jay Z and Beyoncé’s crazily hyped On the Run tour is on the fast track to record-breakingly stellar success. With tonight’s show at San Francisco’s AT&T Park serving as the final performance of their five-week-long tour, the data is in and the numbers have been crunched.

According to the tour’s promoter/producer Omar Al-Joulani, the pair’s 19 North American shows not only grossed more than $100 million in ticket sales alone, but sold at more than 90 percent capacity as well. Not too shabby.

“These shows sold tremendously well at the end, so we were able to sell-up limited-view and clean up production holds or other holds,” Joulani told Billboard. “It was a very successful tour, and we’re pleased to have that big gross number at the end.”

Joulani went on to describe the nature of the tour’s profits, attributing it to the couple’s artistry, drama and chemistry. “The two of them are as about creative as you can get, and it was pretty brilliant to watch them work. The show itself is spectacular.”

The tour’s next stop? Paris, where Jay Z and Beyoncé will perform on September 12-13 and shoot their upcoming HBO special. It's lonely at the top.
