One of the most fun ideas we've come across recently: putting a frilly camisole over (rather than under) a delicate blouse. Here are the tricks:
Make sure the blouse is fitted enough to tuck in; the cami, on the other hand, should be loose and hit just at your hips.
Look for pretty details on the shirt underneath, like dainty collars and poufy sleeves, and use a lower-cut cami to show them off.
For the sleekest effect, stick to muted colors—nothing too girly or vibrant.
