A: I have decent legs—and they look like posts in ballet flats. I know this goes against the every-girl-is–Audrey Hepburn fantasy, but there it is. I’ve tried, and I’ve failed—for years on end. But flat sandals and/or boots, somehow, can be just as sexy if not sexier than heels. The only thing that does not go with flat sandals or flat boots is a flared knee-length skirt. (Though it can be done, any sort of knee-length skirt is tricky with flats.)
