Readers Ask: Dear Lucky About Freckle-Friendly Foundation
Q: I love my freckles. But my blemishes obviously don't inspire the same affection. What foundation evens skin tone but doesn't cover my freckles?

A: Repeat after me: Foundation will not cover blemishes. Concealer is for blemishes. Write it 15 times on the blackboard and get yourself to Sephora for some concealer! And if a more even skin tone (a totally different thing than blemish and/or freckle-covering) is what you want (if ever a makeup item covers your freckles, it's too much and should be immediately jettisoned), shop for tinted moisturizer. Guerlain's sheer, velvety new Lingerie de Peau foundation comes with a little sidecar of concealer, right there in the compact.
