Dear Lucky: How Can I Wear Pastels Without Looking Like an Easter Egg?
Q: I love all the pastels. But how do I wear them without looking like an Easter egg? —Lola
A: Dear Lola,
“Put them with brights,” said fashion director Anne Keane. “It’s so much more fun and so much prettier than neutrals with a pastel—look!” We were standing by the racks (clothes rails line the halls at Lucky; you run your hands along them as you go on your way, wishing, imagining, thinking). In seconds, whirling-dervish-style, Anne had thrown several outfits together. All were cute: pink with hot pink, peach with fuchsia, neon green with baby-chick pale yellow. As you see here, it’s heaven. Do it, and leave no stone unturned, colorwise. Especially the shoes!
