Put on extra conditioner once you're out of the shower. Towel-dry to get excess water out, then work in a leave-in formula—a light mist if your hair's fine, or a richer cream if it's wavy.
Divide hair into four sections (one on each side, and two in back) and twist up all but one with clips.
Pull each section taut with a round brush. Start at the roots, hold the dryer an inch from your hair, and dry it through to the ends. Imagine there's a point six inches in front of your nose, and stretch the hair toward that point as you dry.
Blast a shot of cool air onto each ribbon of hair once it's totally dry to lock in the shine.
