Melanie Bruno, a wholesale coordinator at Links of London, loves that she can wear her favorite dark jeans to work. But the 24-year-old wasn't sure what to put on top for a business-casual look. So we showed her what to do:
-We swapped her floral cardigan for a black single-breasted blazer.
"She needed to add something crisply tailored to be work-appropriate," says fashion news director Jen Ford. "This jacket is perfect—it's a lightweight material and the black hue is unfussy and chic. Even though her cardigan wasn't right for this look, it would be perfect for the office over a structured sheath dress."
Melanie's reaction: "I love this result because it's relaxed yet tailored. The best part is the contrasting lining you see when you roll up the jacket's sleeves. Little details like that spice it up."
