We Picked Out Some Potential Dresses for the 2013 Oscar Nominees

Awards season is drawing to a close, and the grand finale of it all, the Oscars, is fast approaching. The nominees this year are a refreshing change from the norm, like nine-year-old newcomer Quvenzhané Wallis and French talent Emmanuelle Riva, who's 85. We’ve seen some dazzling looks on the 2013 red carpets thus far (Jessica Alba in peach Oscar de la Renta, anyone?) and with its history of bringing out the newest couture and best Old Hollywood-style silhouettes, the Academy Awards surely won't disappoint.

Click through to see which looks we think the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress nominees should consider. Do you agree with our picks?

Jennifer Lawrence

Nomination: Best Actress (for Silver Linings Playbook)

Should Wear: J. Law's sassy character Tiffany is a depressed widow with the world's sharpest tongue—she even argues with Robert De Niro! Since Lawrence is the newest face of Dior, we think she’d be electric in this bold yellow Spring 2013 gown.
