Start 'Smizing'—Karlie Kloss Is Designing Sunglasses For Warby Parker!
As is Karlie Kloss weren't multitasking enough already, the supermodel extraordinaire is adding just one more impressive asset to that already jam-packed résumé of hers. After collaborating on a capsule of long-legged jeans with Frame Denim last year, the 21-year-old is set to design a line of affordable sunglasses for the perpetually cool Warby Parker.
In Vogue's May issue, Warby Parker's founders Neil Blumenthal and Dave Gilboa recount how they met Kloss at a charity basketball event. And much like the last line of all early 2000s rom-coms, Blumenthal said: "[It was] just one of those things where everyone hits it off."
According to Fashionista, the limited-edition collection—set to launch on June 10—will exude a very 1970s aesthetic with three varying metal frames, all featuring ombré lenses. In true Kloss fashion, proceeds of the $145 specs will benefit Edible Schoolyard NYC, a nonprofit which encourages healthy eating habits amongst low-income public school children.
While Kloss didn't reveal the collaboration herself until earlier today on Instagram, she's already been spotted wearing the self-designed frames whilst frolicking through New York City with her road trip bestie Taylor Swift. Good work, Kloss. Way to make us wait.
